Cottonwood Valley is an amazing network of single track mountain bike trails. Sometimes people run and bring their dogs so keep your eyes open.

The North Side (of the Highway) is the larger area with more mellow XC trails and some technical ones, like "Late Night Trail". If you want to roam around more and just connect trails until you feel like stopping, the North side is where you should go. Also beginners and/or for shorter rides.

Riding the South side trails, you'll start off either at Late Night Parking Lot or at the Upper Late Night Parking area. You will start off with climbing, but it's fairly mellow in elevation and is nice single track the whole way up. Then rewarded again by the amazing single track on your long fun descents! The climbs are fairly mellow, but not super easy. Enjoy!

This area is by far the most ridden and most popular network in the area. With an extensive selection of great single track ranging from beginner to expert, there is something for everyone. Easy to access it is off of HWY 160 near Blue Diamond and takes about 20-30 min to get to from the "center" of town. Even when this area is "Busy" the riding is amazing!

Trails range from: Smooth and Dreamy; to Rocky Sandy Technical Trails. The climbing is mild to moderate and rewarding on most ascents. All the trails in the network link, so you can't make any wrong turns! (Depending on how far you want to go at least)

P.S. Elevation: Starting at Late Night Parking-Heading SOUTH of HWY 160 you will climb. Starting at Late Night Parking-Heading NORTH (same side of the HWY160 as the parking) you will start off Descending, then Ascending back to Late Night Parking Lot.

Southwest Ridge (SWR) is an AMAZING new network!! Technical on the ridges fingers to the East. Technical and steep climbing will reward you with amazing fast descent, some including nice 2-4' tall rock drops. The trails on the west (The Stash) are more XC in nature and provide a great warm-up / way to climb to the top of the Eastern trails on top of the ridge.

There is a lot of very steep cliff edge exposure on the ridge that get you amazing panoramic views of Las Vegas! If you are not comfortable with heights, stay away from "Exposure" and "Menny Thanks" but if you're ok with exposure then you will absolutely love them!

These trails are more technical in nature and the descents down any of the ridge trails can include 2' to 4' rock drops (with ride-arounds).

The Cowboy Trails out near Red Rock National Conservation area are a WORKOUT! Getting to the "Top" is definitely work work work, then some more work, but super fun on the way down!

These trails range from super rocky technical, to sweet flowy rocky technical. There are rock drops ranging from 2-5' (with ride arounds) on the DH trails.

All in all if you like more technical riding you'll love it.

RIDE TUBELESS --> You have been warned!!

Like most trails in the valley there are not really any signs, so pay attention to where you are.

Calico Basin trails are a small, fun set of XC trails that are great for warm up/cool down rides or when time is limited. Access is easy, although the trails are used primarily for hiking and horses and are located in the PRIVATE neighborhood of Calico Basin. This neighborhood endures a LOT of tourist traffic wanting to hike in the canyon and Boulder at the Kraft Boulder area, so PLEASE be respectful of all other users and follow any posted signs so that the neighborhood continues to allow access.

These trails are in really good shape most of the time except for a few spots along the NE side of the East Wing trail where there are short wash sections to get through. Not very technical in nature, but the blue and black trails will be a bit more littered with rocks amidst the trail so if your a beginner and don't want to ride trails with more obstacles, stick to the greens =)

Most people usually ride counter clockwise, on the trails but either direction can be fun! ENJOY!

Bootleg Canyon Mountain Bike Park is an extensive network of World Class Downhill and Cross Country mountain bike trails located in Boulder City, Nevada. Super fun trails with a wide range of options.

The terrain here is extreme and gnarly! Nothing but super sharp volcanic rock everywhere. Small crashes here can have bigger than normal consequences. **DEFINITELY RIDE TUBELESS**

The trails are fairly narrow and will have fixed rocks jutting up within the trail itself, making you pick really techy lines. There is a nice dirt road going up canyon that you can either shuttle or just ride up and make some loops. You can also end on trails that spit you out lower than the main parking, down at Veterans Memorial Parking ect.

HOT and NO SHADE --> Be prepared!

Sadly (if you can't afford to live there) a Multi Million dollar neighborhood is being built right up in the foothills of the amazing Blue Diamond Mesa, which is also the home to this fun trail network. These trails have been roped off for construction of the new neighborhood.

We suggest trying Southwest Ridge instead. Although more elevation and more technical. Have Fun!

Bears Best Mountain Bike trails, on the West edge of Las Vegas, are great for evening rides and shorter rides when time is limited. Easy to access and close to the city you won't have to travel far (if you live on the West side). The trails are nicely laid out similar to Cottonwood Valley, but they are much more loose and rocky.

Like most trails in Nevada the trails are riddled with large rocks and obstacles. There are a few wooden bridges that are fun, and in general the trails have some fun and interesting features / sections. There are some technical spots on most of the trails, but are limited and or can be ridden around. As always, don't jump off anything your not familiar with.

There are some fun rock drops and some nice jumps in spots. Overall we would rate most all of the trails, XC: Moderate / "Blue", (skill level). ENJOY!!

The Union trails off on South Jones are small but fun. There are a few "main" loops to ride along with several short but fun technical "DH" trails.

A very short hike-a-bike up an old 4x4 road takes you to the top of this small hill where there are several fun rocky technical descent trails, sadly they are just really short.

If you ride in Vegas a lot these trails provide a nice alternative to the more popular "standard" riding areas. Take a break from the norm and enjoy this small network!

The Anthem / Sloan network is growing! The BLM is adding "trails" (Old 4x4 rds) to the Sloan side of the mountains!

These trails range from a paved path walkway to technical single track. The landscape has a LOT of Basalt rocks that create nice sidewall slicing obstacles.

Even though new trails are being added, they aren't the best for MTB riding. So ride these now!! Take action if you live in the area! There are tentative plans to "Decommission" a few GREAT trails! Really the best ones...Overlook Loop has already been partially taken out and MUSHROOM LOOP is planned next. These are some of the best single track trails out here.

If your looking for a nice mellow XC ride through the mountains, the McCullough Hills trail is wonderful. A an old 4x4 road cleaned up, wide and nice and smooth!
